Important

This is not the same as a chart yoga

Two different objects share the word.

The nitya yoga on this page is one of the five limbs of the panchang, computed from Sun + Moon longitude, changing about once a day and applying to everyone alike.

A chart yoga — Gaja Kesari, Raja yoga, Kemadruma and the rest — is a planetary combination in an individual birth chart. It needs your birth details and it does not change. Those live on our Kundali site.

We keep them on separate URLs precisely so the two are never confused.

The difficult nine

Yogas the texts tell you to avoid

Vyatipata and Vaidhriti are the gravest — auspicious work is generally set aside for their whole duration. For the rest, only the opening portion is usually treated as afflicted.
